Do you remember going back to school as a child, with that unique mixture of emotions – excitement, dread & lots more besides?!
We’re seeing lots of people returning to Yoga & Pilates, including at Urban Splash’s beautiful Vanilla Factory & Tea Factory in Liverpool – lucky for tenants these classes never include listening to a teacher droning on while you doze off at your desk…the sole purpose is to leave people feeling excellent physically & mentally!
So what can tenants expect when they come to our 40 minute lunchtime classes? We asked our wonderful teachers:
Emma says “My weekly Hatha Yoga class is 1.10pm on Tuesdays, it’s suitable for all levels and starts with some guided breathing. After some gentle stretching we move onto more dynamic flowing movements which can all be adapted. Everyone does as little or much as suits them and we finish with a guided relaxation.
The venue is one of my favourites, with beautiful bare brick & sash windows. We don’t take it too seriously and the main aim is that people leave feeling happy & relaxed, like they’ve had a good stretch and some valuable time away from their desk.”
Donna teaches the Pilates class at 1.10pm on Thursdays, guaranteed to put a smile on your face: “This is a feel-good, fun, energising class. It’s suitable for everyone including total beginners. We get the blood pumping in a warm-up and then work on strengthening the body with core focused exercises, finishing with a good stretch and relaxation.
The class is a great mood-booster and we laugh a lot! It’s a great way to reset the body and mind ready for the weekend. The class takes place in a lovely space, and everyone is really friendly.”
