Robin discovered yoga, meditation and pilates when dealing with spinal issues, and is passionate about taking the benefits of wellbeing to the workplace. He will help you to set up postures correctly, giving beginners a great place to start and helping those with experience stay on the right track. His classes help develop a strong core and gently improve flexibility as you focus the mind and flow through postures, you'll also learn how to relax with meditation and mindfulness - all of which helps you to be more effective and productive outside class.
Paul has been practising yoga and meditation for 25 years and teaching for 15. Training and qualifications include a BWY Diploma, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Therapy, Restorative Yoga and Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs. Paul's passion is using yoga as a therapeutic tool, helping people to get happy and healthy in a gentle and safe way through a mindful and soft practice. His approach relies less on the mystical side of yoga, and more on new scientific findings in neuro-biology, psychology and group dynamics.
Marketa is a Pilates & Stott Pilates instructor who believes that everyone can release their inner athlete with the correct muscle activation, core strength, balance and breathing. She teaches Clinical Pilates to all levels, including beginners, and you should expect to use muscles you may have forgotten about! She will ensure that you develop a strong practice, showing you how Pilates helps normal life, sporting performance and can help to manage & prevent back pain. She's passionate about health, fitness & wellbeing, and is a committed Crossfit athlete.
Emma is a Yoga Alliance Teacher who works with a cross section of our community. She believes that yoga is for everyone and uses it to help people, regardless of their age or background. Her classes are designed to suit everyone from a total beginner and those who are well on their yoga path, giving everyone something to work towards. Emma believes that a sense of humour and patience are key to helping students progress, and uses this to great effect in all her classes.
Robyn is a Pilates Teacher who works with all levels in mixed classes. She believes that pilates can help reduce stress & injuries through controlled exercises and breathing. Her classes are open to everyone and she will help to show you how to develop and maintain a strong core and a fantastic posture - which can often help to manage back pain. Rosanna is a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher whose passion for yoga, health & positive living shine through in her classes. She will help you get the feel-good factor as you strengthen your body & mind, ease any physical & mental tension, and then relax as you comprehensively improve your health the way that only yoga can! She runs group classes, 1-2-1's, retreats & workshops, and has been featured in Yoga Magazine, Yoga & Health Magazine and Om Magazine. We're delighted to have her with us!
Jane is a qualified personal trainer & Metafit instructor (amongst other things!) who believes that exercise should be fun and varied to help you stay motivated & achieve your goals. Metafit is a high intensity, bodyweight training system that includes a warm up and a cool down - it's a challenging & efficient whole body workout for all fitness levels that burns fat & increases your metabolism. Are you up for the challenge?
Will is a yoga teacher and mindfulness coach who prides himself on making the health benefits of yoga accessible to everyone, both in a class setting and daily life. He teaches everyone from well practised 'yogis', corporate classes, and vulnerable adults who have never considered taking part in a session. He also performs poetry outside of class, and you can expect his classes to be interesting and informative, with clear instructions to help you safely expand your physical (& mental) capabilities.
Frank has practised for 18 years and is highly experienced - his teaching qualifications are extensive and he is a Principle Yoga Teacher Trainer for the Yoga Alliance. His current teaching covers all levels and styles - from strong vinyasa flow classes, to remedial yoga, relaxation and movement for members of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Frank’s style is non-dogmatic, and he believes that Yoga is non-elitist and regular practice can benefit everyone.
Naomi is a mindfulness practitioner, Yoga teacher and student ever since her Grandpa introduced her to yoga to create a calm space between all the activities of her life. Her personal practices are Ashtanga and Yin yoga and she became a Yoga Alliance teacher in 2014 (200 hours). Naomi's teaching style is very much from the heart and suits both beginners as well as more experienced students who wish to deepen their practice - all with mindful compassion, curiosity and joy.
Steven has been studying martial arts & healthy practices for over 20 years, and has trained, performed and taught in Liverpool, London, India & China. His studies of Chi Kung, Kung Fu and meditation have taught him the benefits of softness and the various needs of students. We are delighted to have him with us. With his guidance and a little application on your part he invites you to discover the benefits of Tai Chi for yourself - improved energy & focus, calm positivity, better mood, better sleep and better life.
Jordan is a dedicated yogi who specialises in Laughter Yoga - yes it's a thing, many a splendid thing too! Classes include yogic style breathing, playful exercises which naturally make us laugh, which becomes infectious! We could all use a good laugh, and there are many proven benefits - strong core muscles of the abdomen, a natural painkiller and stress-reliever, increased oxygen to the brain & concentration levels. Just try it and you'll be laughing!
